⭐ FAQ: Our Transition to a Montessori Play Academy
⭐ FAQ: Our Transition to a Montessori Play & Learn Academy
Q: Are you shutting down bouncers and events right away?
A: No! We will continue offering services through the end of our insurance contract this summer. Nothing changes for current bookings. This shift will happen slowly and intentionally.
Q: Why are you making this change?
A: Over the last year, the strongest need I’ve consistently heard from local families is the need for quality early childhood learning and structured play opportunities. After a lot of reflection, it's clear that a Montessori-inspired preschool aligns better with what families want — and what I feel called to build long-term.
Q: What exactly is a Montessori Play & Learn Care?
A: It’s an early childhood program that focuses on:
child-led learning
hands-on play
independence and confidence building
sensory + motor skill development
social interaction
a calm, prepared environment tailored to young children
It blends Montessori principles with creative movement, physical play, and your already-loved equipment.
Q: Do you already have a licensed teacher?
A: Yes! I am working with an accredited teacher to help build curriculum and guide requirements. And to keep things sustainable, I am structuring the program so that the role can be filled by any qualified early childhood educator if staffing ever changes.
Q: When will the play-care officially open?
A: We are in the early planning and licensing research phase, so there is no official start date yet. I will share updates openly as we move through each step.
Q: What age groups will you serve?
A: We are currently considering ages 3–5, but this will be refined based on community feedback and licensing.
Q: Will this be full-day or half-day?
A: We are exploring:
Half-day preschool
Enrichment classes (Montessori + play-based sessions)
Drop-in play/learning time
Final hours will depend on parent interest.Q: Will tuition be affordable?
A: The goal is to keep tuition in line with local childcare prices, while offering a premium, structured learning environment. A full pricing outline will be shared once we finalize our program model and licensing details.
Q: What happens to the bakery?
A: Baking will stay as a seasonal or special-order passion project. It won't disappear — it just won’t be the main focus as we build something more sustainable for the community.
Q: What will the space look like?
A: Think:
soft play equipment repurposed for gross motor development
Montessori shelves and learning materials
cozy reading nooks
open-ended toy stations
sensory tables
art + creativity areas
A calm, bright, child-centered environment.Q: How can parents help or give feedback?
A: I’d love to hear from you!
You can help by:
✔ Filling out upcoming interest surveys
✔ Sharing what schedules work best for your family
✔ Telling me what learning values matter most to you
✔ Helping spread the word as we build thisQ: Will you still host events or classes in the future?
A: Yes — just in a different form.
Think mommy & me learning classes, storytime, music mornings, sensory play sessions, holiday workshops, and more aligned with early childhood development.
Q: Is this transition permanent?
A: This is an evolution — one that reflects years of listening, learning, and understanding what families in our town actually need. I’m building something long-term, rooted in passion and community support.
